Surface Organometallic Chemistry (SOMC)

Surface Organometallic Chemistry (SOMC) is a powerful tool used in our group to generate well-defined surfaces. Combining SOMC together with thermolytic molecular precursors (TMPs) capable of losing ther organic moieties, it provides access to supported isolated metal sites with defined oxidation state and nuclearity inherited from the precursor. This allows the generation of well-defined, highly active heterogeneous catalysts capable of showing structure–activity relationships.
